Wise Women Speak – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to your purchase and participation in the Wise Women Speak course (“the Course”), provided by EMILY MELVILLE (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By purchasing the Course, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Wise Women Speak

Wise Women Speak is an English-language discussion and learning community designed for women who wish to develop their confidence communicating in English while exploring topics relating to identity, relationships, womanhood, work, culture and personal development.

The Course is educational in nature. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, legal advice or professional coaching.

2. The Course

The Course consists of 10 weeks of guided English-language discussion and learning activities.

This includes:

  • weekly self-study materials in the form of downloadable workbooks and other digital resources;

  • live 90-minute online group sessions;

  • access to a private online community or group; and

  • additional materials or resources provided during the Course.

  • 3 one-to-one classes (only if paid for Super Wise Woman) to be arranged upon agreement of both parties.

The exact content and schedule of the Course will be described on the relevant sales page at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the Course content, schedule, or format where necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that any changes do not materially reduce the value of the Course.

3. Eligibility

The Course is intended for adults aged 18 or over.

By purchasing the Course, you confirm that the information you provide during checkout is accurate and that you are legally entitled to enter into this agreement.

4. Payment

The Course price is displayed on the checkout page at the time of purchase.

Payment must be made in full unless an alternative payment arrangement is expressly offered at checkout.

All applicable taxes and charges will be displayed during the checkout process where required.

Your place on the Course is confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

5. Access to the Course

Course materials will be provided using the platforms specified by Wise Women Speak.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have:

  • a suitable internet connection;

  • a compatible device;

  • access to the email address used when purchasing the Course; and

  • any software required to participate in live online sessions.

Course materials and access are provided for your personal use only.

You must not share your course login details, course materials, recordings, workbooks, links or other course content with anyone who has not purchased the Course.

6. Live Sessions

Live sessions take place online at the dates and times communicated to participants.

If you are unable to attend a live session, you will be able to access a recording of the session provided by Wise Women Speak, after the session has been delivered.

Live sessions may occasionally need to be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative date or appropriate alternative arrangement.

7. Community Participation

Wise Women Speak is intended to be a respectful, tolerant, and supportive environment.

Participants agree to treat other participants with respect and not to engage in:

  • harassment or bullying;

  • discriminatory or hateful behaviour;

  • threatening behaviour;

  • deliberate disruption of sessions or community spaces;

  • unwanted solicitation or promotion; or

  • sharing another participant's personal information without their permission.

We reserve the right to remove a participant from the Course or community where their behaviour seriously or repeatedly breaches these standards.

Where a participant is removed because of serious misconduct, this does not entitle them to a refund.

8. Confidentiality and Respect for Other Participants

Participants may share very personal experiences during discussions.

You agree to respect the privacy of other participants and not to record, reproduce, publish or share another participant's contributions outside the Course without their express permission.

However, we cannot guarantee that other participants will maintain confidentiality. For this reason, participants should exercise their own judgement when deciding what personal information to share.

9. Intellectual Property

All Course materials, including workbooks, written materials, exercises, recordings, presentations, graphics and other resources created by Wise Women Speak remain the intellectual property of Wise Women Speak or its licensors.

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own personal learning.

You must not:

  • reproduce or redistribute Course materials;

  • sell or commercially exploit Course materials;

  • upload Course materials to publicly accessible websites;

  • share Course materials with people who have not purchased the Course; or

  • use Course materials to create a competing course or service.

10. Cancellation and Refunds

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.

Where applicable, consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of entering into the contract.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund or wish to cancel your purchase, please contact us at emily.melville@wise-women-speak.com as soon as possible.

11. Personal Information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By purchasing the Course, you acknowledge that certain personal information is required in order to process your purchase, provide access to the Course and communicate with you about the Course.

12. Disclaimer

Wise Women Speak provides educational content and facilitated discussion for language-learning and personal-development purposes.

We do not guarantee any particular personal, professional, linguistic or other outcome from participating in the Course.

The views expressed by participants during discussions are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Wise Women Speak.

Wise Women Speak is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Wise Women Speak will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, platform failures, technical problems, or events that prevent a live session from taking place as scheduled.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time where reasonably necessary.

The Terms applicable to your purchase are those in effect at the time you purchase the Course, unless a later change is required by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of SPAIN without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your country of residence.
